![]() ![]() On the second level if you hit the whale in the back the cannonball will often roll forward and onto Trunkford’s ship, whereas when the shot goes in the opposite direction sometimes the tail will catch it.On the first level the treasure chest is slightly on your side of the island, so it is easier for Trunkford’s shot to get stuck on it.Each level has advantages built into it for Luxamillion (the pink & allegedly “good” pirate) over Trunkford (the green & allegedly “bad” pirate). ![]() If you need to take a break use the pause button in the lower left corner.There is a timer at the top center of the screen which shows how much time you have left to shoot.If you press to charge your cannon before your turn begins then you may release at the wrong point, so it is best to wait until the label stating it is your turn appears at the bottom center of the screen before aiming and charging your cannon. Sometimes cannon balls can get stuck on the island.If you are trying to shoot for points make sure the angle is sufficient that the shot does not bounce back on your boat. You can hit your own ship with your own cannonball.Your cannonballs can hit off of objects in the playing field like the clouds or sun.Collect more points by having your ball hit coins on the playing field or destroying other objects in the playing field like the clouds or trees by hitting them.Score points each time your shot hits the opposing ship.Hold in the left click button on your mouse to charge your cannon and release to fire.Set your cursor on the screen to aim your shot.At the end of each level there are buttons for selecting next battle, levels menu, replaying current level, or quitting the game.If you press the pause button it will bring up a menu offering the following options: resume, restart, levels, and quit. The game has a pause button in the lower left corner and a sound control button in the lower right corner.Across the top of the screen it shows Luxamillion’s score & how many times Luxamillion has been hit, a left or right wind meter, and a pie graph showing how much time you have left to make your shot that round, and then Trunkford’s score and how many times he has been hit.Each level must be beaten to unlock the subsequent levels. After choosing your character it will bring up the level select screen.Playing the pink one, Luxamillion, is slightly easier than playing the green one, Trunkford. This will bring up the character select screen where you can choose which pirate you want to play.Click the “Fight!” button to start the battle. The overview screen offers buttons to begin your fight, watch the game trailer again, or read gameplay instructions.Watch the opening animation until it completes or click on the “Continue” button at the bottom of the screen to bring up the game’s overview screen.The last player with the remaining ships wins.Set your shot angle then alternate turns with the computer trying to sink each other’s ships. When every spot on a ship has been guessed you say, “you sunk my battleship!” You could change this wording for variations of the game. The other player marks the targeted spot with an “X” if it hits a ship and an “O” if it missed. Players track their own shots on the “Enemy Ships” tab at the bottom of the sheet. To make a guess, just name the coordinates.įor example, “G-6” would target Column G, Row 6. Players take turns guessing the coordinates of ships on the opposing player’s board. Ships can only be placed horizontally or vertically (never diagonally). Place an “s” in each cell according to the size of the ship. ![]() If you are playing in the classroom give each student their own piece of grid paper.Įach individual player adds the ships in the bottom right table to the board on the left. Make a copy of the sheet for each player in your Gmail account if you are playing digitally.
